Great Value Camping at Sports Clubs near Olympic / Paralympic Venues for 2012

Camping At The Games (brought to you by the crew at Campingninja) has teamed up with Sports Clubs and Centres across London, and near to other Olympics and Paralympics Venues, to utilise the great spaces and facilities they have. They are turning their lovely green, grassy areas, into places for people to camp during the 2012 Games. So, choose your great value place to go camping and enjoy the Olympic atmosphere. Here are just a few of the advantages of staying at a sports club campsite:
Incredible value at £10 a night

No membership feesCamping at the Olympics

Cars allowed and parking space available

No minimum stay
Supporting community sports
Pitches for the Olympics and Paralympics
Free hot showers

The prices are very reasonable at £10 per adult per night and £5 per child per night so staying in London for a few days in the height of the Summer Games is no longer out of the question.

Who is it for?

Whether you are ticket holders, volunteers / gamesmakers or visiting London for some of the free Olympic or Paralympic events, camping at the games is for you. Perfect for families, groups of friends, couples, and volunteers / gamesmakers.

It’s a win-win situation: everyone can get somewhere that’s great value to stay (at least a third of the cost of other accommodation) and local sports clubs, rather than large hotel chains, will benefit enormously from the money through providing the facilities, enabling them to plough it directly back into sports and facilities development.

Travelling times to 2012 Olympic and Paralympics Venues

We’ve put together this handy list of approximate travel times on public transport between all of the campsites and all of the relevant Olympic and Paralympic Venues to help you make your decision about where to stay.

N.B. The times are all calculated from using National Rail and TFL websites and are as accurate as they can be. However, they are obviously approximate and we recommend giving yourselves plenty of time to get to any venues you are travelling to so your experience can be as relaxed as possible.

If you are not sure which sports are at which venues, find out with our Guide to 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Venues and Sports.
